I am a professor at Department of Artificial Intelligence and Department of Software Engineering in Chonnam National University, South Korea. Previously, I was a Postdoc researcher at Information Systems Group(ISG) of the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine. The main research topics include Software Defined Network/Infrastructure, Bigdata Platform (distributed data collecting/processing architecture), GRID/Cloud network/systems, Social networking system, AI applied Cyber Physical Systems, BlockChain and other issues of Distributed Systems area.
Research Interests
- BigData Platform and Applications : Distributed Data Collecting/Processing Architecture, Real-Time Data/Knowledge Acquisition, Disaster/Agricultural/Health Care BigData Applications
- Software Defined Infrastructure : QoS related SDN/NFV Resource Provisioning/Allocation, Security issues in SDN/NFV environments
- AI applied Cyber Physical Systems : Data/Knowledge Acquisition with Heterogeneous IoT Data, SmartBuilding/SmartCity related Disaster Management Platform, Security issues in IoT environment
- Other topics of interests : Block Chain, GRID/Cloud network/systems, Social Networking systems, Pub/Sub systems with CDN and DTN
